Imagine a festival which exists to celebrate new rising innovations, ideas and actions lying behind food and sustainability.
The 2020’s may yet prove to be the age of real innovation in sustainability.
Over the last year, many have had time to plan, think and reflect. The result has been a rising and newfound energy in creating new solutions which will generate greater change in the sustainability arena and lay the platform for long lasting real change.
In 2022, there are plans in play for a festival to be hosted which aims to celebrate the many great works taking place in sustainability, culture and food as well as the new ideas and innovations emerging. There are so many good ideas which have and are emerging that it would be no surprise if the 2020s are in future times remembered not just for the pandemic but as being the bedrock for a new era in sustainability innovation and thinking.
Everywhere one turns there are new conversations emerging with regard to the so called “soft subjects” of food and culture. They maybe soft but their importance has never been more visible, and they do once again sit at the very heart of society and life.
Many CEOs are rethinking how they can ensure that their businesses play a far stronger and more active role in communities and society, so that they build businesses once again where their people are proud of what the organisation stands for and does for and within society
There is a growing emphasis on the link between “farm and plate” with many now seeking to work closely with farmers and local producers
Communities are once again celebrating their traditions and cultures in a far more positive way
The arts are growing with a stronger link to their role within physical and mental health
Food is now widely recognised for the important role that it plays in our daily lives and is recognised as having an important role to play in culture and the essential experience it brings.
Food is central to all cultures across the world and it plays such an important role in daily life, in society and in economies. It brings people together, breaks down barriers, improves productivity and builds strength within communities.
As we emerge from the pandemic, we will continue to face many challenges but there is a growing desire to make sure that we rebuild a world which is better than before. Real change in key areas is wanted and sustainability today sits on every board and consumer’s agenda.
The 4-day festival will bring different ideas and examples from all around the world so they can be shared and explored. Food is central to all cultures across the world and it plays such an important role in daily life, in society and in economies. It brings people together, breaks down barriers, improves productivity and builds strength within communities.
The Festival’s aim is to enable true collaboration between operators and the supply chain, including farmers, manufacturers, innovators, and entrepreneurs, artisans, thought leaders, influencers and artists. It is our belief that this is a new era when collaboration can make all stronger and create better and more sustainable businesses. The Festival aims to be one that inspires, excites and showcases the industry in its broadest sense with the best at their best coming together to create a platform that positively engages on the many great ideas, innovations, food styles and new thinking emerging across the industry today and for the future.
Our mission is simple: to work together to create a stronger sustainable future across the 4 pillars of economics, culture, society and environment. Together we can be the base for positive change.
