Is there unconscious bias in hospitality?

EP EVENTS: Women in Business

Stories and insights from across the sector will be shard on Thursday 30th March at our celebration dinner.

On the night we will explore whether unconscious bias exists within the sector, how our background, cultural environment and personal experiences influence us and how we can achieve dreams and aspirations. Plus we will also look across the sector and how changes can make a valuable difference for people and businesses.

We are delighted to have the following speakers on the night:

Terry Waldron
Group Relationship Director, CH&Co Group

Terry will speak about unconscious bias and the importance and benefits of a diverse team.

Angela Wilson
Former team GB member, CEO of Angela’s Swimschool

Angela will focus on her struggles as a girl in her career and how dreams and aspirations we have as children never leave us. Angela will also provide an insight into her empowering franchisees.

Simon Tarr
Chief Executive, People 1st

Simon will speak on how the sector needs to be more flexible as a whole. Looking at examples, such as returners to work – a flexible workforce and culture may enable a higher retention of women and change the culture/attitude within the industry.

By bringing together a community we can truly celebrate.
The evening overlooking St. Pauls in the Sky Bar at Grange Hotel includes welcome drinks & canapés, three course dinner, tea, coffee and petit fours and inspiring key speakers.
