6 December 2021 – FPI Annual Briefing Regent Street Cinema, London

1730 – 2000 hrs

The second half of 2021 has seen the full restart of the Food and Drink supply chain within hospitality, after more than a year of pandemic related lockdowns. The period from May onwards has seen some of the deepest supply disruption ever seen in our sector, with Covid and Brexit combining to hit the whole value chain from farm to fork.

The CGA Prestige Foodservice Price Index measures inflation at the kitchen door from the wholesale supply sector, using over 8m lines of data every month to track prices covering every category within Food and non-alcoholic Beverages. With so much disruption, the year ahead is certain to be an inflationary one, and the FPI Annual Report (which is free to attendees) provides hospitality operators with a wealth of data, facts and insights about the future, and tools for mitigating the adverse impacts. We will be answering these key questions:

  • Why has there been so much supply disruption in 2021?
  • When will the disruption ease, and why?
  • What will food and drink inflation be like in 2022?
  • What can I do to protect margin next year?

We will also be featuring presentations from leading industry figures on the outlook for the UK Economy in 2022, the opportunities and challenges ahead for the Hospitality Sector, and the recently published National Food Strategy. The event starts and ends with drinks and canapes, so come along to meet with us and industry peers and colleagues.

After a year off because of the pandemic, the FPI Annual Briefing is back, and better than ever!

The FPI Annual Briefing is delivered to you by EP and Prestige Purchasing.
