The innovative Executive Masters in Hospitality and Tourism Leadership has been welcomed by many in the sector as a unique opportunity for senior level managers to continue their professional development and progress their careers.
Specifically designed for operators to work around professional commitments, the Executive Masters in Hospitality is a part-time, modular degree enabling participants to remain in full time employment, whilst engaging in structured professional development, delivered by international leaders in their field. Over a two year period, twelve three day classes will be delivered at Strathclyde Business School (Glasgow), Cornell University (USA) and Ecole Hoteliere Lausanne (Switzerland) to provide course members with a truly international experience.
Designed as an opportunity to learn more about the programme, we are delighted to announce a series of events chaired by Mr Peter Lederer, CBE, Chairman ILS, Chairman, Gleneagles Hotels and programme director Professor Alan Wilson to be held in Glasgow, Edinburgh and London throughout August and September 2013:
Wednesday 28th August – Grand Central Hotel, Glasgow
Thursday 29th August – Apex Waterloo Place Hotel, Edinburgh
Monday 16th September – Apex City of London Hotel, London
The format of each preview comprises:
|5.30pm||Arrival & registration|
|6.00pm||Welcome address & Industry Perspective, Peter Lederer CBE, Chair, ILS and Chairman, Gleneagles Hotels|
|6.15pm||Introduction to the Executive Masters in Hospitality and Tourism Leadership, Professor Alan Wilson, Academic Director, University of Strathclyde|
|6.30pm||‘A Participant Perspective’, delivered by a current final year participant|
|6.45pm||Drinks reception and networking|
To date there has been very positive industry response to this programme which started in January 2012, and some participants from cohort 1 and 2 will be attending the preview to answer any questions you may have.
This event should prove an excellent opportunity to learn more about the programme, meet the academic and industry representatives, and, potentially, some of your future class-mates!
If you’re interested in attending any of these events please contact Arlene McCaffrey for further details.
